Supplies you will need for the DIY Massage Oil Candle

  • 85 grams of soy wax
  • ½ tsp of Vitamin E Oil
  • 30 grams Almond, Jojoba or Avacado Oil
  • 30 drops of your preferred essential Oil
  • Candle wicks
  • Heat Safe Jar

The ingredients are easy to find, if you already have your oils just make a quick stop at a local craft store, or order your wicks online.

I searched quite a few shops and was unable to find a DIY massage oil candle so I decided to make my own. I was amazed at how easy and quick it was.

Step 1

Measure out 85 grams of soy wax flakes and melt in a safe glass in the  microwave.

My wax took about 90 seconds to melt completely, but the time may vary as each microwave is different. Keep check to see when your wax melts.

Step 2

While your wax is melting, place your wick in your jar and make sure the tab is at the bottom. To keep the wick straight place ice cream sticks on either side.

Step 3

Mix your Jojoba Oil and melted wax together.

Step 4

Add your ½ teaspoon Vitamin E Oil and stir again.

Step 5

Now comes the best part, add your essential Oils. I personally like lavender and cinnamon oil, as the cinnamon adds a spicy scent and the Lavender is very calming. You can choose your own oil and add about 30 drops so that it is not too strong.

Mix all your ingredients together.

Step 6

Pour your mixture into your jar and let sit for an hour.

Step 7

Once candle has set you can cut the wick.

To use

Light the candle for 15-20 minutes and allow wax to melt. You can then use the melted wax to massage your Valentine. If you don’t have the time to make a DIY Massage Oil candle than you can order one from our Shunga and Shenge Collection.
